Physical Standards
For police and administrative posts like Deputy SP, Superintendent of Jail, District Commandant Home Guards, Excise Inspector, and Deputy Jailor, candidates must meet the specified physical criteria:
- Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP):
- Male (General/OBC/SC): Height 165 cm, Chest 84 cm (unexpanded) / 89 cm (expanded).
- Male (ST): Height 160 cm, Chest 79 cm (unexpanded) / 84 cm (expanded).
- Female (General/OBC/SC): Height 152 cm, Chest: N/A, Minimum Weight 40 kg.
- Female (ST): Height 147 cm, Chest: N/A, Minimum Weight 40 kg.
- Excise Inspector: Height 167.6 cm (Male) / 152 cm (Female). Chest (Male) 81.2 cm (unexpanded).
UPPSC PCS Selection Process
The recruitment process will consist of three stages:
- Preliminary Examination: Objective type papers for screening candidates for the main exam.
- Main (Written) Examination: Descriptive written test for shortlisted candidates.
- Personality Test / Interview: Viva-voce test for final selection and post-preference allocation.
