Selection Process
The recruitment selection process will consist of a Written Examination (Stage-I) and an Interview (Stage-II):
Stage-I: Written Examination (300 Marks)
- Exam Pattern: Objective Type (Multiple Choice Questions) paper containing 150 questions.
- Time Duration: 3 Hours (180 Minutes).
- Marks Distribution:
- Part-1: General Knowledge (50 Questions / 100 Marks): Covering History, Geography, Economy, Polity, and Culture of India and Chhattisgarh, Current Affairs, and Environment.
- Part-2: Law (100 Questions / 200 Marks):
- Major Acts: Constitution of India (Part 3, 4, 5, State Judiciary, Subordinate Courts), Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) 2023, Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA) 2023.
- Minor/Local Acts: CG Excise Act 1915, IT Act 2000, SC/ST Act 1989, NDPS Act 1985, Arms Act 1959, Food Safety and Standards Act 2006, Protection of Human Rights Act 1993, RTI Act 2005, Legal Services Authorities Act 1987, CG Raging Prohibition Act 2001, CG Tonhi Pratadana Nivaran Act 2005, UAPA 1967, CG Vishesh Jan Suraksha Act 2005, and CG High Court Rules.
- Negative Marking: 1/3rd (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Qualifying Marks: Minimum 33% for General/UR candidates, and 23% for SC/ST/OBC category candidates.
Stage-II: Interview (30 Marks)
- Candidates who qualify the Written Exam will be called for interview in a 1:3 ratio based on merit.
- There is no minimum qualifying marks criteria for the interview.
Final Merit: Prepared out of a total of 330 marks (300 Exam + 30 Interview).

- If you are a new user, complete the Candidate Registration page. Verification is carried out via a one-time OTP sent to your registered email and mobile.
- Upload your live photo and signature as per the instructions (live photo capture through web camera is required, signature should be on white paper with a black ballpoint pen, JPEG format, max 100KB).

The online application process begins on 22 June 2026 (from 12:00 PM onwards).
The last date to submit the online application form is 21 July 2026 (until 11:59 PM).
The application fee is Rs. 300 for Chhattisgarh local residents (including SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) and Rs. 400 for General and Out-of-State candidates. Portal charges and GST are extra. Note that CGPSC will refund the exam fee to all candidates who appear for the written exam/interview.
