Selection Process
For Deputy Director (Medical) and Junior Programmer:
The scheme and syllabus of the examination will be updated shortly on the official NBEMS website.
For Junior Accountant, Stenographer, and Junior Assistant:
- Stage-I (CBT Written Exam): 200 Questions, Maximum Marks 200, Duration 180 Minutes (3 Hours).
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: 50 Questions
- General Awareness: 50 Questions
- Quantitative Aptitude: 50 Questions
- English Comprehension: 50 Questions
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Qualifying Marks: 40% for SC/ST/PwBD/ESM candidates, 50% for other candidates.
- Stage-II (Computer Knowledge/Skill Test): 100 Marks, Duration 75 Minutes. Candidates will be called in a 1:5 ratio (5 candidates per vacancy) in order of merit. Includes Data Entry, Word Processing, Computer Operation, and Stenography as applicable. Final selection is based on combined Stage-I and Stage-II performance.
- Note: There is no interview for Group B & Group C posts.
Penalty Bond Condition
Selected candidates are required to execute a Penalty Bond to serve the Board for a minimum continuous period of two (2) years. In case of resignation or voluntary withdrawal before completion of this period, the candidate will be liable to pay three (3) months' salary as liquidated damages.
How to Apply for NBEMS Various Posts 2026
- Visit the official website of NBEMS: www.natboard.edu.in and click on the "Vacancy" link.
- Read the official notification carefully to ensure eligibility.
- Fill out the Online Registration Form with basic details. You will receive a Login ID and Password on your registered mobile number and email.
- Login to fill the detailed Application Form with academic details, contact details, and other requirements.
- Upload scanned copies of a recent colored photograph (max 80KB) and signature (max 50KB) in JPG/JPEG format.
- Pay the application fee online (applicable for UR/OBC categories) and submit the form.
- Take a printout of the Confirmation Page and the filled Application Form for document verification. Do not send hard copies to NBEMS.

The application fee is Rs. 1500 + 18% GST (Total Rs. 1770) for General and OBC candidates. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, and female categories are exempted from paying the fee (NIL).
The written computer-based test (Stage-I CBT) is tentatively scheduled to be held on 5 September 2026 and 6 September 2026.
Yes, selected candidates must sign a penalty service bond agreeing to serve NBEMS for at least two (2) years. Leaving early will attract a penalty equivalent to 3 months of last-drawn salary.
