National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the official Information Bulletin for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test - Post Graduate (NEET-PG 2026). NEET-PG is the single entrance examination for admission to MD, MS, PG Diploma, Post MBBS DNB, and NBEMS Diploma Courses for the academic session 2026-27. Eligible MBBS graduates can register and submit their online applications between 01 July and 21 July 2026. NEET-PG 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying online, candidates must satisfy the following academic and registration criteria:

  • MBBS Degree: Candidates must possess a recognized MBBS degree or Provisional Pass Certificate from a recognized medical institution in India according to the NMC Act, 2019.
  • Registration Certificate: Candidates must possess a permanent or provisional registration certificate of MBBS qualification issued by the National Medical Commission (NMC), State Medical Council, or the erstwhile Medical Council of India (MCI).
  • Internship Completion: Candidates must complete one year of compulsory rotating internship or must be likely to complete it on or before **30 September 2026**.
  • Foreign Medical Graduates: FMGs must have cleared the FMGE screening test and hold a valid NMC/State Medical Council registration certificate.

Qualifying NEET-PG is mandatory for entry into the following postgraduate medical programs across all state and private institutions in India:

  • MD / MS and PG Diploma courses (except for AIIMS, PGIMER, JIPMER, and NIMHANS)
  • Post MBBS DNB Courses & Direct 6 Years DrNB Courses
  • Post MBBS NBEMS 2-Year Diploma Courses
  • Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) Institutions

How to Apply for NEET-PG 2026 Online

  1. Visit the official NBEMS website at https://natboard.edu.in.
  2. Click on the 'NEET-PG 2026' tab on the homepage.
  3. Read the complete Information Bulletin and click on 'New Registration' or 'Applicant Login'.
  4. Fill in your basic registration details to get your User ID and Password.
  5. Log in and fill out the detailed application form, including academic credentials, test city preferences, and category.
  6. Upload your scanned photograph, signature, and thumb impression in the specified sizes and formats.
  7. Pay the online examination fee (Rs. 3500/- or Rs. 2500/- based on your category) using UPI, Credit Card, or Debit Card.
  8. Verify your payment status (which must reflect as "S" for successful).
  9. Submit the application form and download the final printed copy of the confirmation page.
