ISRO ISTRAC Various Posts Short Notification Details
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) Telemetry Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC), Bengaluru has released an official recruitment advertisement (Advt. No. ISTRAC:02:2026) for various technical and non-technical posts. These posts include Technical Assistant, Scientific Assistant, Library Assistant, Technician-B, Draughtsman-B, and Cook-A. Application & Processing Fee
- Technical Assistant / Scientific Assistant / Library Assistant:
- Application Fee: ₹250 (Non-refundable)
- Processing Fee: ₹750 (To be paid initially by all candidates)
- Refund details: ₹750 full refund for SC/ST/PwBD/ExSM & Female candidates upon appearing in Written Test/CBT. Others will get ₹500 refund.
- Technician-B / Draughtsman-B / Cook-A:
- Application Fee: ₹100 (Non-refundable)
- Processing Fee: ₹500 (To be paid initially by all candidates)
- Refund details: ₹500 full refund for SC/ST/PwBD/ExSM & Female candidates upon appearing in Written Test/CBT. Others will get ₹400 refund.

Age Limit and Post-wise Qualifications
- Nationality: Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
- Age Limit (as on 20/07/2026): Minimum Age: 18 Years, Maximum Age: 35 Years.
- OBC Candidates: Upper age limit 38 Years (where posts are reserved).
- SC/ST Candidates: Upper age limit 40 Years (where posts are reserved).

Selection Methodology
- Written Test / Computer Based Test (CBT):
- For Technical Assistant / Scientific Assistant / Library Assistant / Technician / Draughtsman:
- Duration: 1.5 Hours
- Questions: 80 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Marking: +1 for correct, -0.33 for incorrect
- Minimum Passing Marks: UR - 32/80 marks; Reserved - 24/80 marks.
- For Cook-A:
- Duration: 1.5 Hours
- Questions: 60 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Marking: +1 for correct, -0.33 for incorrect
- For Technical Assistant / Scientific Assistant / Library Assistant / Technician / Draughtsman:
- Skill Test (Qualifying nature):
- Shortlisting ratio: 1:5 (with a minimum of 10 candidates) based on CBT marks.
- Purely of Qualifying Nature (Go/No-Go basis).
- Conducted for 100 marks. Pass marks required: UR - 50/100 marks; Reserved - 40/100 marks (For Cook-A, min 60 marks required for all).
- Final Selection: Based strictly on the CBT marks of the candidates who successfully qualify the Skill Test.

ISRO ISTRAC Various Posts Recruitment 2026 FAQ
The online application process starts on 27 June 2026 at 10:00 AM.
The last date to apply online is 20 July 2026 at 11:55 PM.
The non-refundable application fee is ₹250. However, initially all candidates must pay a processing fee of ₹750, which will be fully or partially refunded after appearing in the written test/CBT.
