Indian Overseas Bank (IOB), a leading Public Sector Bank, has released the official recruitment notification (Advertisement No: HRDD/APPR/01/2026-27) for the engagement of Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the Financial Year 2026-27. A total of 750 vacancies are announced across various states in India. Graduate candidates interested in banking apprenticeship training can apply online from 07 July 2026 to 20 July 2026. Age Limit and Qualifications
- Age Limit (as of 01/07/2026):
- Minimum Age: 20 Years
- Maximum Age: 28 Years (Candidates must be born between 01.07.1998 and 01.07.2006, both dates inclusive).
- Age relaxation applies as per Govt. rules (SC/ST: 5 years, OBC NCL: 3 years, PwBD: 10 years). Candidates registered under NAPS must be under 34 years as of 01.07.2026.
- Educational Qualification (as of 31/07/2026):
- Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized University/Institution. Result must be declared on or before 31.07.2026.
- NATS candidates: Graduation results must have been declared between 01.03.2022 and 31.07.2026 (both dates inclusive).
- Candidates must not have undergone apprenticeship earlier or have 1 year or more of post-qualification job experience.

Selected apprentices will receive stipend as per the branch category below for the 1-year contract period:

Selection Process
The engagement process consists of the following steps:
- Online Written Test (Objective Type - 90 Minutes):
- General / Financial Awareness: 25 Questions, 25 Marks
- General English: 25 Questions, 25 Marks
- Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude: 25 Questions, 25 Marks
- Computer / Subject Knowledge: 25 Questions, 25 Marks
- Total: 100 Questions, 100 Marks.
- Conducted online. Candidates will take the exam on their own front-camera enabled desktop/laptop/tablet/smartphone.
- No negative markings. No minimum qualifying marks for individual subjects. Minimum aggregate qualifying marks will be decided by the Bank (5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD).
- Local Language Proficiency Test: Conducted during document verification. Candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the local language of the applied state. Candidates with standard 10th or 12th certificates with the local language are exempt from the test.
- Medical Examination: Final selection is subject to medical fitness.

- Apply against the advertised opportunities under Indian Overseas Bank.
- Complete the online application form and fee payment on the BFSI BEEP portal: beep.bfsissc.com.
- Ensure you enter your NATS / NAPS enrolment number correctly in the application. Candidates can apply for one State/UT only.
- Save the system-generated application printout and fee e-receipt for future reference.

The monthly stipend is ₹15,500 for Metro branches, ₹14,500 for Urban branches, and ₹14,000 for Semi-Urban and Rural branches. This includes the government subsidy of ₹6,150 direct credited through DBT.
As of 01 July 2026, candidates must be between 20 and 28 years of age (born between 01.07.1998 and 01.07.2006, both dates inclusive). Relaxations apply for reserved categories.
