Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the detailed notification for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP SPL-XVI) for the recruitment and selection of personnel in Specialist Officers' (SO) Cadre posts (Scale-I). A total of 745 indicative vacancies are available for posts like IT Officer, Agricultural Field Officer, Law Officer, Rajbhasha Adhikari, and HR/Personnel Officer. Selection Methodology

  1. Preliminary Online Examination (Objective):
    • For IT, AFO, HR, and Marketing: English Language (25 Qs, 25 Marks, 20m), Reasoning (25 Qs, 25 Marks, 20m), Quantitative Aptitude (25 Qs, 25 Marks, 20m), and Professional Knowledge (25 Qs, 50 Marks, 20m). Total: 100 Qs, 125 Marks, 80 minutes.
    • For Law and Rajbhasha Adhikari: English Language (25 Qs, 25 Marks, 20m), Reasoning (25 Qs, 25 Marks, 20m), General Awareness with banking focus (25 Qs, 25 Marks, 20m), and Professional Knowledge (25 Qs, 50 Marks, 20m). Total: 100 Qs, 125 Marks, 80 minutes.
    • Penalty for wrong answers: 0.25 (one-fourth) of the marks assigned to that question.
  2. Main Online Examination:
    • For IT, AFO, HR, and Marketing: English Language (30 Qs, 30 Marks, 25m), Reasoning (40 Qs, 40 Marks, 35m), Quant (30 Qs, 30 Marks, 25m), and Professional Knowledge (50 Qs, 100 Marks, 40m). Total: 150 Qs, 200 Marks (Objective) + 2 Descriptive Qs, 25 Marks (30m). Grand Total: 225 Marks, 155 minutes.
    • For Law and Rajbhasha Adhikari: English Language (30 Qs, 30 Marks, 25m), Reasoning (40 Qs, 40 Marks, 35m), General Awareness (30 Qs, 30 Marks, 20m), and Professional Knowledge Objective (50 Qs, 100 Marks, 45m) + Descriptive (2 Qs, 25 Marks, 30m). Grand Total: 225 Marks, 155 minutes.
    • Penalty for wrong answers: 0.25 (one-fourth) of marks deducted.
  3. Common Interview: Candidates who score sufficiently high in the Online Main Examination will be shortlisted for interview. Marks ratio weightage of Main Exam to Interview is 80:20.
