Age Limit and Eligibility
- Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India. Reservation benefits are available only to domiciles of Bihar State.
- Age Limit (as on 01/08/2026):
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age: 43 Years (General / Unreserved)
- Relaxations in maximum age limits are applicable for reserved categories and women as per Bihar Government guidelines.
- Educational Qualification:
- Master's Degree in relevant / allied subjects with minimum **55% marks** (50% for SC/ST/BC/EBC/PwD candidates from Bihar).
- Candidate must have qualified UGC-NET, CSIR-NET, or Bihar SET.
- Candidates holding a Ph.D. degree registered/completed as per UGC Regulations 2009/2016 are exempted from the NET requirement.

Selection Process
The recruitment process for BSUSC Assistant Professor (Contract) is conducted as per the following criteria:
- Screening & Academic Evaluation: Candidates are shortlisted based on their academic scores, publications, teaching experience, and qualifications (NET/Ph.D.) as per UGC guidelines.

Candidates must hold a Master's degree in a relevant subject with minimum 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/BC/EBC/PwD candidates from Bihar), and must have qualified UGC-NET / CSIR-NET / Bihar SET, or hold a Ph.D. as per UGC 2009/2016 regulations.
The selection is based on Academic/Screening score followed by a personal interview.
